In 2020, despite the limitations related to the pandemic, and therefore also travel, 9 people decided to return to Poland to undergo addiction treatment and to return to their families.
We are glad that we had an opportunity to help these people to start rebuilding their lives and we hope that we will still be able to help those in need.
The film about Berlin´s branch of Barka received a German-Polish Journalist Prize.

From January 2019 to the end of the year, 15 people have already returned to Poland and other CEE countries, aiming to start the addiction treatment in rehabilitation centers and reestablish contact with their families. BARKA IS keeps on helping others!
On Tuesday, Oct 29, 2019, Barka received the Golden Cross of Merit for services to Poland and Poles from President Andrzej Duda in Breda (Netherlands). We are very proud!
Another homeless people decided to return to Poland and other CEE countries in order to undertake addiction treatment and rebuild relationships with the family. From the beginning of the project in January 2017, 20 people have already returned.
